Projects Written, Shot, and Edited for the Stop Motion Animation course at UCSC

Stop Motion Animation

Scroll

In the Fall of 2022, I took a Stop Motion Animation Course at UC, Santa Cruz. Here are some of my projects.

“TV Time”

This was the first project I wrote, drafted, and produced, with the assignment of creating a paper animation

“Pie Face” (Light Scheme)

The Second project produced in this course was to create a story with identical animation, using two different lighting schemes to give a different mood to each of the animations. This is the “light” version of this animation.

“Pie Face” (Dark Scheme)

This is the “dark” scheme of the same “Pie Face” animation project. The pie and berry props were created using various materials including beads, felt, foil, and air-dry clay.

“Masked Beauty”

The final milestone assignment of this course was to create a narrative animation that required us to build a puppet character with a metal armature.

My creature was created using wool roving, wire, and air-dry clay. The mask props were created using foam and paper mache.
